“Jack, be careful okay?” You mumbled to your brown haired, brown eyed best friend. Jack flashed you his signature cocky smile.
“Aw come on __y/n__! You worry too much! I’ll be fine!” Jack said cheerfully. You smiled weakly; Jack and his little sister were going ice skating.
This wouldn’t have worried you, they did it whenever the pond was frozen over, but the weather was slightly warmer than usual. You had visited the pond earlier with Jack, and while he had deemed the ice thick enough, you didn’t trust it. Jack however, wouldn’t listen to you and insisted that you worried too much.
You stared into Jack’s deep brown eyes with your own __e/c__ ones. You had a nagging feeling in the pit of your stomach, but tried to shove it away. Jack’s gaze softened when he saw that you were slightly pale from worry. He reached a hand out and grazed his thumb along your cheek, sending shivers down your spine.
“Jack! Are you ready to go?” Jack’s sister, who had run over to the both of you, asked excitedly.
“Yeah, all set squirt! Do you have your skates?” His little sister nodded her brown head and flashed you both a grin, before sprinting away, towards the forest.
Jack smiled softly at you before retracting his hand and giving you a sheepish smile. You wondered why, but your train of thought was cut short when he pressed his lips gently to your cheek. He pulled away after a moment, leaving your cheeks a very bright red. Jack grinned at your embarrassment before running off after his sister, whistling cheerfully.
“Be careful!” You shouted after him.
“Always am!” He called back before he too disappeared into the forest.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Your body was shuddering with the weight of your sobs; Jack’s little sister had come back from the pond, alone. She told her parents and you, with tears streaming down her face, how the ice had started to crack, and Jack managed to get her onto shore. He however, had fallen in and drowned. You were furious with yourself for not making the both of them stay home, the feeling in your gut had been correct after all.
You felt hollow. Your best friend, who you did nearly everything with, was gone. Just like that. And you didn’t get to say goodbye. Nor did you get to tell him that you had feelings for him. You’d never know if he felt the same way, you’d never hear his laugh again, you’d never see his cocky smile; there were so many nevers.
You were currently curled up as tight as you could go, outside, under a large tree. You had quietly left Jack’s house when his sister had finished telling the story. You walked straight past your own house, until you were deep in the forest. The darkness normally would have frightened you, but now it felt almost… welcome.
You glanced up from your hands as come clouds moved and the moon became visible. You smiled weakly at it; you and Jack used to stargaze together. You could feel your chest tighten painfully and your throat close up before the tears started pouring again.
As you were crying, you were completely unaware of the white haired, blue eyed boy who was crouched next to you, asking desperately if you were okay.
End.

Jack FrostxReader: It's Only a Nightmare
You knew who it was the moment you realized how abnormally cold it was in your room.
Lazily, you opened your eyes, still half asleep. It was dark out, but moonlight pouring in through your window allowed a bit of visibility. The figure was kneeling on the floor next to your bed, waiting for you to wake up. You turned you head to look at your clock. The numbers beamed 4:16 in a painful red.
You inhaled deeply and sat up, drowsiness urging you to fall back asleep. “Jack…” you yawned, rubbing your eyes awake. “What’s up? It’s friggn’ 4 am…” You found it unusual that Jack would visit you

My Light: Jack FrostXGuardian Reader Chapter V
North led them to an elevator and took them up a few floors. All around them, there were yetis working on toys, using ice sculptures made by North as a model as they built the toys.
"Nothing personal but," Jack said as they got off the elevator, "what you all do it's just not my thing."
"Or mine," (y/n) said, following them.
"Man in Moon says it is your thing," North said, signing something on a clipboard that a yeti held out. He walked briskly through the work place, (y/n) and Jack tried to keep up, all while trying to absorb the sight of everything around them.
"Slow down would ya!? I've been trying to bust in here for years! I wanna go

I do not own Rise of the Guardians or any of its characters, all rights go to their rightful owners. I also do not own the picture, all rights go to their rightful owners. So, I recently watched Rise of the Guardians (I know, I'm a wee bit late hehe) and I love Jack so freaking much. So, yeah, this happened. And my gosh I think it sucks and is really sad and I don't know why everything I'm writing is sad recently. I want to write a happy Jack X Reader soon, but I still need to do a Daryl Dixon X Reader and maybe another Reid X Reader, so I'll try to do those this weekend. Sorry guys, I can't focus very well on writing during the school week; I only wrote this because I had an idea for it. Anyways, hopefully you guys like this.
