Literature Text

“Master, do I have to?” You asked once more, glancing down at the dress in distain. You were a young maid at the Phantomhive estate, and you were now being “asked” to go to a party with Ciel so you could “seduce” Lord Druitt.

“Yes __y/n__.” Ciel said tiredly, resting his cheek on his palm. You sighed, shifting uncomfortably in the large dress. It was pink, frilly, and poufy, and you hated it. Literally any color but pink would have at least been a bit more bearable, but no, it had to be pink.

You at last arrived at Lord Druitt’s mansion, Sebastian helping you carefully out, Ciel and the others following behind you. When you got into the mansion, you didn’t do much looking for Lord Druitt, it was more running away from Ciel’s fiancée. Ciel didn’t have to; he just really didn’t want to dance with her. Which meant that Sebastian dragged you and Ciel around for a good long while, until at last you could take a break.

During that break however, Sebastian noticed Lord Druitt, and immediately pulled you over to talk to him. Unfortunately for you, a dance was just starting and there was no way you’d be able to get close enough to talk to him, meaning Sebastian had to dance with you, while Ciel got to hide in the corner.

You blushed slightly as Sebastian’s hand found your waist, because even though you held feelings for Ciel and not him, it was still odd to be in such close contact with anyone, let alone an attractive male. Sebastian noticed your blush, smirking to himself as he saw his young master’s jaw clench from the sidelines.

---------------------------

Ciel was jealous.

He’d never admit it, but he was. The way you smiled at Sebastian, the way your body was pressed against his, the way Sebastian’s hand rested on your hip; they all irked him way more than they should.

And Ciel knew that. You were a maid, he was a Lord. He was engaged to Lady Elizabeth. All those things piled up, but Ciel still wanted nothing more than to take you from the raven-haired butler’s arms and whisk you away. But Ciel couldn’t, so he waited in the corner, steaming, until at last the dance ended and you started up a conversation with Lord Druitt.

But that, Ciel quickly realized, was much worse. He had to watch Lord Druitt flirt with you, and even worse, he had to watch you flirt back. Ciel’s hands curled into fists when one of Lord’s Druitt’s arms snaked around your waist, and he almost lost it when his fingers trailed down to your hip, resting barely above your rear.

This was stupid of him, ridiculous even; you were just a maid, why was he getting so upset? Ciel almost breathed a sigh of relief when you had at last convinced Lord Druitt to take you to his back room, before the relief switched to worry.

What if Sebastian didn’t reach you in time? What if Lord Druitt was Jack the Ripper and he killed you before Sebastian got to you? Or what if Lord Druitt wasn’t Jack the Ripper and he did…things to you?

Ciel breathed deeply, shutting his eyes and pinching the bridge of his nose.

This was absurd, he shouldn’t care about you as much as he did, he shouldn’t get jealous, he shouldn’t be worried, he just shouldn’t.

Hell, he was Ciel Phantomhive, why was he suddenly going soft?

-------------------

Finally, you and Sebastian had returned, you looking slightly shaken, but alive. Ciel rushed over to you, his arm wrapping around your waist to keep you steady.

“Ciel, I’m fine. Really.” And though your voice was steady, Ciel saw that you were trembling slightly, and kept his arm firmly around your waist, leading you to the carriage.

The trip to the mansion seemed incredibly short, and Ciel, surprising both you and himself, walked you back to your room, his arm never leaving your waist.

“I think I can make it to my bed.” You said softly, the teasing tone in your voice returning. The corners of Ciel’s mouth quirked upward ever-so-slightly, surprising you. Ciel never smiled, so making him smile, even if it was a small one, was an achievement.

And then, before he could even react, you had pecked his nose, shutting the door to your room immediately after.

As Ciel lay in bed later that night, his last thoughts before he drifted to sleep were of you. You and those lovely lips that he wanted on his own, not his nose.

And maybe, just maybe, Ciel could do something to make it happen.

End.  <3

I do not own Black Butler or any of its characters, all rights go to their rightful owners. I also do not own the picture, again all rights go to their rightful owners.

When I should be doing requests, I end up rewatching Black Butler and writing crappy fanfics. I'M SO SORRY FOR NOT WRITING REQUESTS  ;-;

And DAMMIT CIEL'S SO OUT OF CHARACTER AND IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE AND WAH
I seriously love Ciel so much and I haven't written for him sooner because I know I can't get his character right but I attempted it anyway and I failed.  ;-;

Welp, I'm off to go watch more Black Butler, bye for now sweeties!  :iconamazingheartplz:
