Seven Minutes in (Everything!) Heaven Kaoru

You dug through until you found something that interested you. You pulled it out to reveal…

An orange rose. You studied the delicate orange rose and noticed that whoever put it in there had carefully clipped the thorns. You smiled at the thought and handed the beautiful flower back to Grell. Grell exited to find its owner while you went to the back of the closet and studied it. You saw a shelf and stood on your tiptoes to see what was on it when a pair of hands wrapped around your waist.

You squeaked in surprise and started thrashing around when a voice spoke calmly in your ear.

“Shh, shh, it’s okay, __y/n__. It’s just me.” The voice soothed in your ear. You stopped thrashing when you recognized the voice as your longtime crush, Kaoru Hitachiin. Kaoru released you and turned you around to face him. You blushed and looked away before sitting down on the ground. Kaoru hesitantly sat down next to you.

“You know __y/n__, it’s hardly proper for a host to let a princess sit on the ground.” Kaoru said from beside you. You turned to face him.

“What do you-“You stopped talking when Kaoru lifted you up onto his lap.

“There. That’s better.” Kaoru purred in your ear. You flushed and started trying to get off him. The fact that you had a crush on him made you sitting on his lap even more awkward. Kaoru snaked an arm around your waist and used his other hand to tilt your head up to look at him.

“Why are you trying to get away? It’s just me.” He said softly. You looked at him, studying his handsome features.

“That’s why.” You said just as softly. Kaoru looked hurt for a moment before he seemed to understand what you meant. He looked at you in surprise.

“You like me, __y/n__?” He asked quietly. You blushed but nodded. Kaoru grinned.

“Good. Then it won’t be inappropriate if I do this.” Kaoru said as he leaned forward and pressed his lips to yours.

You felt tingling spreading throughout your body and hesitantly kissed him back. You’d never kissed anyone before, but you could tell that he was a damn good kisser. His lips were soft and sweet, but with a hint of something else. Kaoru pulled away and looked into your eyes before giving you a quick peck on the nose. You whined softly, but Kaoru held up a finger to indicate to wait a moment as you both stood up.
Not even a minute later, the door burst open and Hikaru rushed in.

“Kaoru! Are you okay? She didn’t hurt you, did she?” Hikaru asked frantically with a pointed look in your direction.

“Of course not.” Kaoru said as his brother led him out of the closet. Kaoru turned around and gave you a wink and a small smile.

You couldn’t wait to see how Hikaru reacted when he found out about what just happened in the closet.

This was going to be fun.
