Author's Note: I wrote this story with the idea that it took place in between The Hunger Games and Catching Fire, when Peeta was upset with Katniss, but it could also take place sometime before the 74th Hunger Games, I dunno for sure. Also, I have no idea if they would still celebrate Thanksgiving, but oh well. They do in this.
You heard a knock on the door of your small cottage, and bustled over to open it. When you did, you were met with the smiling face of Peeta Mellark, the baker’s son, and he was holding a pumpkin pie.
“Your order, Miss __l/n__.” Peeta said, gesturing at the pie.
“Thank you, Peeta. Can you put it on the table for me?” You asked while you left the doorway and grabbed a handful of bills from a coffee can. “And how many times do I have to tell you, it’s __y/n__!” You said exasperatedly as you paid him the amount he was due.
“Are you spending Thanksgiving alone, __y/n__?” Peeta asked with extra emphasize on your name. You smiled at the use of your actual name for once, before the smile slipped from your face.
“Yeah…” You said, a frown making its way onto your face. Your father died in a mine accident a few years ago and your mother died when you were very young. They were your only family, and seeing as how you didn’t have many friends, it was yet another holiday for you to spend alone.
“I’m sorry __y/n__, I didn’t mean to upset you.” Peeta said with a frown. “Maybe, if you’d like, I could stay for Thanksgiving with you?” Peeta blushed slightly when he said this, but you beamed and pulled him into a quick hug.
“That’d be great!” You exclaimed excitedly, already hurrying into your small kitchen to set a place for him at the table. Peeta grinned at your enthusiasm, before he set to helping you get the food out.

Dinner went really well, you and Peeta were comfortable around each other and cracked joke after joke which usually ended up causing one of you to choke on whatever you were eating. When you were both done eating, and the small bit of left overs were put away, you and Peeta sat in front of the couch in your cozy living room, basking in the warmth of the fire in the fireplace.
“This was fun. Thanks Peeta.” You said, stifling a yawn as you leaned your head on his shoulder, unaware of the blush that was spreading across his face.
“No problem __y/n__.” Peeta replied softly. You removed your head from his shoulder after a moment and stood up, Peeta following behind you.
“Not to seem like a bad host, but I need a nap after all that fo-“ Peeta cut you off by raising his hand.
“Say no more, and thanks for having me over.” Peeta said, his blue eyes twinkling brightly. You smiled sleepily at him, before you walked him to the door.
“Thanks again Peeta.” You said, leaning up and giving him a quick peck on the cheek. Peeta froze in surprise, before giving you a quick wave and starting on his way to the bakery. With an amused shake of your head, you went back inside and proceeded to collapse on your couch in a deep sleep.
Meanwhile, when Peeta reached the bakery, which wasn’t too far away from your house, he decided that maybe he fell for the wrong girl all those years ago, and that he didn’t need Katniss.

Newt X Reader: Chapter Two: The Tour
"We'll start the tour with the box," Alby says to you, beginning the tour. You stand tall, both confidence and anxiety flowing through your body. You want to know who and where you are, but you also worry you might not like the answers. You wished you had some form of reality to hold onto. Just a name would be nice, but you'd get that back according to Newt. You just had to hold out until then.
"Where's that?" You ask. Alby turns around and points at the crate you were just in moments ago. You pale, really hoping he wasn't going to ask you to get back in there.
"The Sloppers will be over here soon to unload all of the

It was a nice day in the Seam, and also showing it was a busy day in the hob. (Y/n) had her table set up; filled with stuff that people would usually buy on a good day. She would trade her wildflowers for mint in order to make her large pot of hot water and mint leaves. Then of course her flower would make an okay profit, but her real money was with the wool that she would buy from an older woman who lived next door, and sell just to split the profit between the two of them. Most days, she could walk out with enough money to buy a nice cut of meat from someone else in the shop. Other days, she would have to tell her fa

"You just want to play with me?" He asked, clearly shocked. "You could have just asked! I've been running after you for an hour!"
"Come on, I'll help you deliver them." She smiled, gently holding his hand while they walked

I do not own the Hunger Games trilogy or any of its characters, all rights go to their rightful owners. I also do not own the picture, again all rights go to their rightful owners.
Request for that took me WAY longer than it should have. Oops. A bit late for Thanksgiving, but it's still Thanksgiving weekend so it's okay right? Right?
Eh, this sucks. Sorry guys ;-; I TRIED. Anyways, I love you, and I'm off to *hopefully* go write more, but first, food!

Awww, what a sweet story! Actually, this story would make a lot of sense if this takes place between Hunger Games and Catching Fire, since that inbetween period when Peeta was still upset about Katniss not returning his feelings is probably when Peeta would be most open to considering someone else.
I have to agree with other comments about that last line, though. It's a little jarring. I don't think Peeta would be quite so quick to drop his feelings for Katniss, but sense a shift in them. I think a less callous way of ending it could go something like, "...he decided that maybe there were other girls out there he could love...and, more importantly, could return that love" or something like that. Something to indicate that, while he may not be over Katniss yet, he is open to the possibility of loving someone else, particularly someone who could reciprocate his feelings.
This scenario would actually be pretty interesting to carry out into a full story (chapters? I don't know) Considering President Snow knows about Katniss and Gale presumably having a "thing" going on, I can't imagine he'd be too happy knowing that his two "star-crossed" victors are considering seeing other people now.
