Chemistry (Andrew Garfield X Chubby!Reader)

Author’s Note: Reader-chan is basically Emma Stone in this, though she’s more of a beginner at acting and not as well-known as Emma is.   c:

“Why is he even with her? She’s so fat.” The girl muttered to her friend as you walked by. You ducked your head, scooting closer to Andrew.

Andrew frowned at her, pulling you closer to him.

“Don’t listen to her, you’re perfect.”

“No, she’s right. I know that I’m chubbier than most people. I just-I don’t understand why my being chubby means that I’m not good enough for you.”

“People will always judge people and find flaws. If you were thinner, they’d probably say that you were too thin.” He said with a shrug. “And I think you’d be beautiful either way.”

“I love you.” You said softly, leaning in and pecking his lips.

“Good, I love you too.” Andrew said back, smiling at you.

“Oh my god! You’re Andrew Garfield! And you’re _y/n_ _l/n_! Can I please get a picture?”

You glanced at Andrew curiously before you answered.

“Of course you can, sweetie!”

The teen squealed excitedly, handing her phone to her friend and scrambling to stand in between you.

Her friend snapped the picture and handed the phone to her friend, moving to where her friend was previously standing.

“Thank you so much!” The girls gushed as they walked away, talking animatedly to each other.

You grinned at Andrew, humming happily as his arm wound around your waist again.

“You know, we’re probably gonna miss the movie.” You said thoughtfully.

“Ah well. We could always have dinner at my flat first and catch a later showing?” He suggested, raising an eyebrow at you.

“That sounds great. Allons-y!”

Andrew chuckled at you.

“Not that I ever would, but you’re never going to let me forget that I was on Doctor Who, are you?”

“Of course not. You got to work with David Tennant! I’m super jealous.”

“With your skills, you might end up getting to work with him too.”

“Eh, I doubt it. I’m still pretty sure that I only got the role of Gwen because you thought I was pretty.”

“That is not true! Well, yes, I did think you were pretty, but you’re a great actress and, obviously, we have great chemistry.” Andrew said, nudging you lightly with his elbow.

“I guess our chemistry’s pretty good.” You teased, unable to help the smile that spread across your face at Andrew’s affronted look.

“Really, just ‘pretty good’?” He asked in disbelief. Andrew frowned at you, cupping your cheeks in his hands and pressing his lips to yours.

Like every time you kissed, it was wonderful. Straight out of a romantic movie, there were fireworks and angels singing and sparks sizzling throughout your body. The only thing that mattered right now was Andrew: him and his adorable accent and his fluffy hair and his lips that were molding perfectly against your own.

He pulled away after a moment, gently resting his forehead on yours.

“Okay, okay. You made your point. Our chemistry is fantastic.”

“Glad you agree.” He said smugly, entwining his fingers with yours as you started the walk to his apartment.
